Been to this lovely restaurant many a time... always great food and a warm welcome ... by way... they do the best salads ever... try the 'Mother-in-law' version.... a meal in itself! . Very reasonably priced fresh fish ... with a very talented and dedicated lady chef.
Absolutely wonderful food and lovely service. We had appetizers (tzatziki and tomato croquettes) and a main course each. To our surprise, we found it to be way too much for two people. Big, hearty portions for both the starters and main courses. The waiters were very welcoming and helpful. When deciding what to order they showed us a platter with the offered seafood, pointing out the freshly-caught critters of the day, and were able to recommend the wine to go with them. Very tasty, hearty food. We found that all the pasta used (both the spaghetti and macaroni) is homemade, just like the dessert. The atmosphere is, thankfully, very local. When we had our meal, at least, it wasn't chock-full of tourists. Not sure it ever is. Very pleasant, we didn't feel the need to rush at all and could enjoy our lunch in peace. 100% recommended
Very pleasant service and nice people. Plate with catch of the day was showed at the table to pick our preferred fish. perfect cooked fish and good vegetables. 10/10 would recommend.
The food here is good. Probably better than many places in the area. The portion sizes are really massive. We ordered an appetizer and salad either the intention to order a main dish after (all family style) but there was too much food. This is the Creatan salad, stuffed peppers (the were cut before the photo ) and orange pie with ice cream. We also had 1/2 liter of wine.
Excellent tavern food. We had eggplant salad, grilled daurade, and grilled octopus, with a pitcher of barrel wine. The service was a bit confused with 3 different waiters alternating to attend to our table. But all in all, we would eat there again!
Second time in Nafplion and we found this gem. Came here two times. The staff are really nice and fun. The food amazing. Had a delicious veal steak one night and also the house salad was enormous and one of the best I’ve had in Greece (over a six month stay.) Don’t miss the Gemista - stuffed pepper. Overall I would say one of the best places in town. Recommend!
A taverna known for its huge portion. On the menu, it looks expensive, but if you think that everything is double portion, it makes sense. It used to be by seaside and had two locations, but from this year (2025) there is only one. Very nice place to enjoy Greek food. The waiters are very efficient.
